Indiaglitz: "Nagavali's" Tamil was not dubbed by Baghyalekshmi - Fazil

Director Fazil, whose 'Manichitrathazhu' went on to be a classic blockbuster, winning many accolades along the way, recently revealed a very shocking truth. He revealed that Nagavali's cult Tamil dialogues were not dubbed by Bhagyalekshmi, but by a Tamil dubbing artiste named Durga.

The truth regarding the matter was revealed post 23 years of the movie's dubbing. Fazil explained that Bhagyalekshmi had dubbed for Shobana in the movie, but that some found some irregularities in her Tamil diction, prompting them to hire Durga at the last moment. By that time, the titles had already been done and editing was a big headache in those times. Even Bhagyalekshmi was not aware of this, thinking all the while that it was her voice. Fazil also added that singer Venugopal had sung a song in the movie but could not be credited in the title.
