Ilaiyaraja's next with 'Theri' # Bala
Isaignani Ilaiyaraja is getting busier after crossing the 1000 films landmark. The maestro is presently busy working on multiple films in Kollywood alone. Now we bring you the audio release date of one among those films.
Ilaiyaraja music album for the crime thriller flick 'Oru Melliya Kodu' directed by AMR Ramesh will be unvieled on March 20 clashing on with Vijay's 'Theri' audio launch.
'Oru Melliya Kodu' is being made as a Tamil-Kannada bilingual with Arjun, Shaam and Manisha Koirala in lead roles. The film is being produced by Akshaya Creations banner. The film is reportedly based on the suicide of a former Central Minister's wife amid suspicious circumstances.

Suriya's '24' Audio Launch Date is Here # Bala
Suriya starrer ‘24’ first single track ‘Kalam en Kadhali’ that released on Monday is gradually topping the charts and has acquired the repeat mode in the playlist of young music lovers. The refreshing tune and musical score of A.R.Rahman and the meaningful lyrics of Vairamuthu and the beautiful rendering of Benny Dayal have surely increased the curiosity over the music album.
The wait is fast getting over. Indiaglitz had earlier reported that the much expected music album of ‘24’ will be released by the end of March 2016. Now we get the date of audio release from a reliable source.
The source says that the ‘24’ audio launch will be held on March 28 in a grand function to be held in Hyderabad. The Tamil and Telugu versions of music album will be simultaneously released in the function.
We will have to wait for an official confirmation regarding the audio release date. Stay tuned, we will keep you posted as and when we get that.

Now Vetrimaran's Grass Root Company has acquired the rights of 'Shoes of the Dead' a hard hitting political novel about farmers' suicide and the politics around it. The novel has been written by Kota Neelima.
The official Twitter account of Grass Root Company confirms that news and it also confirms that Vetrimaran will write and direct a film based on this novel after completing his upcoming project with Dhanush to be read as 'Vada Chennai'.

Jayam Ravi's 'Bogan' shoot commencement and first schedule updates # Bala
As Indiaglitz had reported earlier the shooting of Jayam Ravi's next film 'Bogan' will start from this Friday, that is March 18. The shoot of the film directed by Lakshman of 'Romeo Juliet' fame will begin with a song shoot in Binny Mills campus located at Perambur.
The song composed by D.Imman starts as 'Damaal Dumeel' and this is the intro song of Jayam Ravi who will shake his legs along with Akshara Gowda in the song. Both Ravi and Akshara act as cops in the film.
The first schedule of the shoot has been planned for 20 days in Chennai.
Haniska plays the female lead in the film and this is her second with Ravi as well as director Lakshmanan, after 'Romeo Juliet'. Arvind Swamy who made an everlasting impression with his performance as the villain in 'Thani Oruvan' is playing an important supporting character in this film.

'Motta Siva Ketta Siva' - Thursday Sentiment continues # Bala
After the blockbuster 'Kanchana 2', actor Raghava Lawrence next will be 'Motta Siva Ketta Siva' the Tamil remake of Tollywood super hit 'Pattas'. The remake is being directed by Sai Ramani of 'Rowthiram' fame and produced by RB Choudary under the Super Good Films banner.

Mysskin's hero teams up with Anirudh # Bala
Music director Anirudh Ravichander who has been busy with his international music concerts for the past few months is back to film music composing with the film 'Rum'. This film touted to be a horror flick is the first film for Ani under the genre.

A notable addition in 'Iru Mugan' Star Cast # Bala
Young actor Karunakaran has already carved a niche for himself as a notable comedian as well as character artist. He acted as the male lead in Radha Mohan's 'Uppu Karuvadu' which was one of the successful films of 2015.

Official: S.J.Suryah starts working on 'Kushi 2' # Bala
A few weeks ago Indiaglitz had reported that director S.J.Suryah is going to team up for the third time with Tollywood star Pawan Kalyan for 'Kushi 2' in Telugu Read : Vijay's blockbuster to have a sequel
Now the news has been confirmed. Popular Telugu lyricist Ram Jogayya Sastri has has started penning songs for 'Kushi 2'. He has confirmed working with S.J.Suryah and music director Anoop Rubens for the songs of the super hit sequel.
The blockbuster 'Kushi' has been a very important film in actor Vijay and Director S.J.Suryah's career. Suryah had remade it in Telugu with Pawan Kalyan which was also a blockbuster
Ever since Suryah made his comeback as a director with 'Isai' there have been widespread talks about the possibility of the actor-director duo teaming up again for the film's sequel.

Kollywood cancels all shootings on March 20 # Bala
All the film shootings have been cancelled on March 20 on account of 62nd Annual General Body Meeting of the South Indian Artists Association (Nadigar Sangam) to be held on that day. The AGM is going to be held in the Loyola College campus from 2 pm on Sunday. The Sangam's new President Nasser will preside over the event.
This is the first AGM after the new team has taken over the administration of the Sangam after winning the elections conducted in October last. The Tamil Film Producers Council and FEFSI have accepted the Nadigar Sangam's request and they have announced that the shooting of all the Tamil films have been cancelled on that day.
Te family members of legendary Actor P.U.Chinnappa (Late) will be felicitated in the AGM. A special video to mark his centenary year and an audio-visual presentation of Nadigar Sangam's ongoing activities will also be screened. Apart from this a new website for the Nadigar Sangam will be launched. The fully compiled director of the members of Nadigar Sangam will be released.
Vice-President Karunas will submit the Annual report and the audited books of accounts for the year 2014-15. Treasurer Karthi will explain the financial planning and General Secretary Vishal will explain the welfare measures to be instituted by Sangam in the future, Vice-President Ponvanna will render the Vote of Thanks,

Santhanam to act as hero in Director Manikandan's film # Bala
Santhanam has been a busy comedian for the past decade and now he is getting busy as a hero as well. After the success of 'Inimey Ippadithan' Santhanam is presently acting in two films as hero- 'Dhilluku Dhuddu' directed by Ram Bala and 'Server Sundaram' directed by Anand Balki.
Apart from this the hero Santhanam has a few other projects on the pipeline. One among them is a film to be directed by Manikandan of 'Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaya'.

Karthi's 'Kaashmora' Release plans revealed # Bala
After back to back super hits 'Madras' and 'Komban' actor Karthi's next release will be the multi-starrer 'Thozha' which will be hitting the screens on March 25.
The young and energetic actor is presently busy shooting for his period-horror flick 'Kaashmora' directed by Gokul of 'Idharkuthaney Aasaipattai Balakumara' fame.

'Baahubali' star in Gautham and Dhanush's next # Bala

Three heroines for Sasikumar in his next # Bala
So far we have been thinking that Miya George is the only heroine for Sasikumar in his upcoming film 'Vetrivel' but now from the team sparks a surprise with an official announcement about the film which says that there is not one, but three heroines in the film.
Nikhila and Varsha are the other two lead ladies who will be seen sharing screen space with the matured performer Sasikumar in this film. The supporting cast includes veterans Prabhu and Thambi Ramaiah.
The film has been written and directed by Vasanthamani who worked as director Nesan's associate in the Vijay-Mohanlal starrer 'Jilla'. R.Raveendran who has distributed over 500 Tamil films turns a producer with this film and he is launching his Trident Arts production banner for 'Vetrivel'.

India v New Zealand – Preview # Bala
When these two countries face off each other, the majority of the fans from India do not worry too much about the outcome, as most of us pick our second favorite team as the Kiwis aka Black Caps. Though India is riding on an unbelievable form by winning 10/11 T20 matches including a whitewash against the mighty Australia in Australia, their record against New Zealand so far is 0-6. Yes, you’ve read it right. India is yet to register a win against the New Zealand in the shortest format. Lets see the strength and weaknesses of both the teams.
Brendon McCullum retiring right before the World Cup is a huge setback as he ais a player capable of winning the matches for the team, hands down. Given his experience in the Indian conditions courtesy IPL, he will be badly missed by the players, management and also the fans. Having said that, Martin Guptill, who was unsold in the recently concluded IPL auction is on a form of his life as he has been mercilessly taking on any given attack in the last year and a half. His form will be crucial at the top along with Colin Munro.
The ever dependable classy Kane Williamson, crowd’s favorite Ross Taylor, and the big hitter Corey Anderson power the middle order. Grant Elliot and Luke Ronchi are more than enough to give headache to the opposition in the lower middle order. The black caps do possess a formidable pace attack with the likes’ of Mitchell McClenaghan, Tim Southee, and Trent Boult.
The only visible weakness in the New Zealand line up would be the lack of world class tweakers and their ability to counter Ashwin’s spell.
On paper, India has ticked all the boxes. They have an elite opening pair in the form of Dhawan and Rohit, and Virat Kohli is yet to find a challenge in this year. Raina, Yuvraj, and Dhoni will take care of the middle order and the arrival of Pandya makes things easy for the captain to juggle around with his batting line-up. Having said that, Pandya’s inability to see off quality pace bowling is still a worry. Jadeja, who was supposed to be an all-rounder, is yet to have a go with the bat, this year. Adding to these, we are yet to field a quality third seamer on the side. If Shami plays ahead of Nehra, then it would be interesting to see, whether Dhoni goes with Pandya/Harbajan. It all might come down to the nature of the pitch, but going with five regular bowlers who could raise their hands to deliver at any point in time is still a worry.
Given the number of left handers in the NZL side, Harbhajan might be included in the 11, but in place of whom will be the tricky question to answer.
So, at the end, it will come to the traditional way of battling. The classic case of Indian spinners against the big hitting New Zealander’s and given the shortcomings of Indian batsmen against the left arm fast bowlers.

'Vedalam' and 'Vijay 60' Technicians in 'Thala 57' # Bala
Thala Ajith is expected to start shooting for his 57th film from May or June after a brief sabbatical after a surgery he underwent in November last year. With this film. he will be teaming up with director Siva for the third time after the blockbuster 'Vedalam' . Madonna Sebastian not the first choice for 'Yazhini' in 'Ka Ka Ka Po' # Bala

Team 'Vijay 60' travels to Hyderabad # Bala
As we had reported earlier, the 60th film of Ilayathalapathy Vijay will go on floors from the month of May. But the team has started the pre-production for this most anticipated project, a few months ago.

'Kirumi' Actor's next to have two plots # Bala
Young actor Kathir who has impressed everyone with his brilliant performance in last year's critically acclaimed film 'Kirumi' has completed shooting for another film titled as 'Sigai'. In this film Kathir reportedly plays an effeminate character.
After 'Sigai' Kathir will be seen in a crime thriller to be directed by debutante Aravind. The film will have two plots taking place in Chennai and Pune. The two plots will fall under different genres and they are interlinked. Kathir will appear in two distinct looks in this film.
The script has been completed and the dialogues are being written now. Meanwhile the team is also finalizing the cast and crew members. The yet to be titled film is expected to go on floors next month.

Actor Sai Prashanth's suicide has come as a grievous shock for Tamil film and small screen industry. Sai Prashanth has acted in many notable Tamil serials and Tamil films. His performance in 'Mundhinam Partheney', 'Thegidi' and 'Vadacurry' were highly impressive.
Family problems is widely suggested as this unfortunate decision of this young actor. He had a divorce with his first wife Niranjana and recently married Sujitha. His daughter Rakshitha is apparently living with him.
The deceased actor has written a letter to Sujitha in which he has mentioned the names of many of his beloved persons including Rakshitha. He has mentioned Radhika Sarathkumar as his mother as his association with Radhika's Radan Television production company has played a vital role in chiseling him as an actor.
In the letter Sai maintains the he himself is the reason for the decision and no one including his wife Sujitha has to be blamed. But his words in the letter suggest that there was a serious problem between him and his wife's family.
The death of Sai Prashanth is yet another blow to small screen industry as many talented youngsters have ended there life due to personal and career related problems. We dearly hope Sai Prashanth is the last in the list.

Every Vijay fan is waiting with bated breath for the audio launch of their matinee idol's upcoming film 'Theri'. The film's musical score is by G.V.Prakash Kumar and we can be pretty confident that the songs will serve a sumptuous treat to music buffs also.
As the audio launch has been scheduled on March 20 that is the forthcoming Sunday, Music director G.V.Prakash has confirmed that he has handed over the Digital Audio Tracks (DAT) to the film's producer Kalaipuli.S.Thanu. He has confirmed this in his official Twitter page.

G.V.Prakash Kumar to have four films released in 2016 # Bala
Actor turned music composer G.V.Prakash Kumar will have four films hitting the screens this year in which he will be playing the lead hero. He will also be scoring music for all these films apart from working as the composer for the films of other actors.
G.V.Prakash started acting in 'Pencil' and that was his first acting venture. The film is long delayed and it is now expected to release soon. He has also completed shooting for 'Enakku Innoru Per Irukku' directed by Sam Anoton of 'Darling' fame this film will be hitting the screens in Summer.
After these two films, G.V.Prakash has started shooting for 'Kadavul Irukkaan Kumaru' directed by M.Rajesh. He is also shooting for 'Bruce Lee' directed by Prashanth Pandiraj a former associate of director Pandiraj.

'Arrambam' actress to play a cop in Jayam Ravi's 'Bogan' # Bala
As we had reported earlier, Jayam Ravi will team up again with his 'Romeo Juliet' director Lakshaman for a new film titled as 'Bogan'. Hansika who played the female lead in 'Romeo Juliet' will be Ravi's heroine in 'Bogan' and 'Thani Oruvan' villain Arvind Swamy will be playing an important role in the flick. Ravi will be playing a cop in this film.
Now we learn that Akshara Gowda who made an appearance in Ilayathalapathy VIjay's blockbuster 'Thupakki' and Ajith starrer 'Arrambam' will be acting as a cop in the film. The actress has confirmed the news to the media.
She also revealed that as she plays a cop she will have some action sequences and she will also shake a leg with the film's hero Jayam Ravi in the latter's intro song. The shooting which is all set to begin this Friday will start with the shoot of this song choreographed by Raju Sundaram master and composed by the film's music director D.Imman.
After this, a fight sequence will be canned in the first schedule that will take place in Chennai.
