Disney Takes Animation to the Next Level # Bala

Mightier than Mufasa, fluffier than Frozen, Disney brings to you the mammalian mashup that is an extravaganza of effects! With some of the most prominent Hollywood voices, like Shakira, Jason Bateman, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Idris Elba, for a hip and happening animal city, Zootopia is to hit the screens this weekend. The comic animation is directed by Byron Howard of Tangled fame and Rich Moore of The Simpsons fame, and is co-directed by Jared Bush of Penn Zero: Part Time Hero.
Zootopia is about a jungle of animals, only that it is not a jungle. The animals (or characters) are thoroughbred professionals, running a full fledged city life: to name a few, Gazelle is Zootopia's biggest popstar, who gets her voice from Shakira, and Mayor Lionheart is a character inspired by Mufasa of Lion King.
What will make for the most stunning sight in Zootopia is 9 million strands of hair - that's more hair than Frozen, Big Hero 6, or Wreck-It Ralph! A giraffe in the movie has been crafted with all of the nine million strands individually, to make for a fluffy big mammal. This takes animation standards and movie experience to the "next level" as mentioned by the film's producer, Clark Spencer. Zootopia will hit the big screens on March 4th.
