It was we who had predicted last week that Ryan Reynolds foul mouthed superhero ‘Deadpool’ will give tough competition to the straight Tamil releases ‘Jil Jung Juk’, ‘Anjala’ and ‘Vil Ambu’ and we have been proved dead right.
Information from trade circles reveal that ‘Deadpool’ that caters to that caters majorly to an adult audience, with oodles of cuss words, blood and action has clearly won the hearts of the audiences and at the box office. "Deadpool" has got a flying start at the Tamil Nadu box office recording a whopping 1.5 crores so far, performing better than all the other Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films playing. The film has also garnered unprecedented response from the Tamil dub trailers with YouTube numbers showing the highest number of hits for any Tamil dubbed Hollywood flick so far.
