The pathbreaking ‘Subramaniapuram’ rocked the Tamil film industry in the year 2008 becoming a huge critical and commercial hit. The film directed by Sasikumar gave Samuthirakani his first big break as a ruthless antagonist. After that Sasikumar has directed Samuthirakani in ‘Easan’ and the vice versa happened in ‘Nadodigal’ but they did not share screen space.
In the new film ‘Vetrivel’ directed by Vasantha Mani , Sasikumar and Samuthirakani are acting together after eight years. Mia George is the heroine with Thambi Ramaiah and Renuka in the cast. Prabhu is playing a powerful role in the film teaming up with Sasikumar for the first time.
